Traditional Chinese Medicine Experts Forum concludes successfully

The “Traditional Chinese Medicine Experts Forum – Specialisation in Rheumatic and Orthopaedic Disorders”, organised by CLNC, was successfully held on 25 May. The forum invited six Chinese medicine experts from the Mainland to deliver keynote speeches. The experts shared their insights on the diagnosis, treatment, and application of academic theories in rheumatic and orthopaedic disorders.

The forum attracted nearly 200 participants, including registered Chinese medicine practitioners, industry experts, as well as HKBU staff and students. Notable attendees included Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development), HKBU; Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, MH, Associate Vice-President (Clinical Chinese Medicine), HKBU and Chief Executive of Chinese Medicine Hospital; Professor Li Min, Dean of the School of Chinese Medicine; and Professor Wong Kit, MH, Honorary Chairman, Hong Kong T.C.M. Orthopaedic & Traumatic Association. The event was also graced by Professor Hon Chan Wing-kwong, Member of the Legislative Council of the HKSAR, and officials from the Health Bureau.

The forum provided a high-level academic exchange platform for the Chinese medicine community, enhancing public awareness and understanding of rheumatic and orthopedic disorders. It also facilitated collaboration and knowledge exchange among experts, driving the development of Chinese medicine in this specialised field. The School will continue to host expert forums, promoting knowledge exchange among experts.
